TAKING THE CHSP EXAMINATION ONLINE
REPRESENTATIONS PRECEDENT AND CONDITIONS TO COMMENCEMENT OF THE CHSP CERTIFICATION EXAMINATION
Please review the following Representations that you must make before and Conditions that apply to taking the CHSP certification examination.
REPRESENTATIONS PRECEDENT TO TAKING THE CHSP CERTIFICATION EXAMINATION ONLINE
Before you can take the Certified HIPAA Security Professional (CHSP) certification examination online, you represent the following:
- That you are the person who has registered to take the CHSP certification examination.
- That you will complete the examination within the designated ninety (90) minute timeframe
- That you will complete the CHSP certification examination alone and with the benefit of no other resources or assistance, including written materials, discussion with any other individual, or reference to any other form of third party resource or assistance, and
- That you understand that if any of these representations is not adhered to, your CHSP certificate is subject to revocation by the CHSP Authority.
CONDITIONS TO COMMENCEMENT OF THE CHSP CERTIFICATION EXAMINATION
In taking the CHSP certification examination online, the following apply:
- Once you have commenced the CHSP certification examination online, you must complete the seventy five (75) question examination in one sitting within the 90 minute time frame.
- The examination clock will begin once you click on the REPRESENTATION/EXAM COMMENCEMENT button below and will continue until the examination is completed as described below.
- The examination will be completed at the earlier of the completion and submission of the final examination question or the lapse of the ninety minute time frame, whichever is earlier.
- You must complete and submit each question in sequence. At any point during the examination, you may review and change your previous answers by clicking on the "Review" button at the bottom of each question page.
- To pass the CHSP certification examination you must achieve a score of seventy percent (70%) or better. This score is calculated as a percentage of all 75 examination questions, not as a percentage of the questions that you answered.
- Upon completion of the examination online, you will receive immediate notice of your score. If you pass the examination, your successful completion of the examination will be communicated to the CHSP Authority. Upon your showing to the CHSP authority that you have completed the CHSP training courses, the CHSP Authority will mail your CSHP certificate within three weeks. If you do not pass the CHSP examination, you must register and pay for the examination again to take the CHSP certification examination online.
